Fiti and your health data

This notice covers phone-health integrations. Read the full Fiti Privacy policy for account data, service providers and deletion.

Fiti can read health data from your phone. It reads only after you allow it, only the kinds you switch on, and you can take that back at any time.

What it reads and keeps

These are saved in your Fiti account, so the other devices you sign in on show them too. Steps and active calories are what Energy Out on Today is worked out from. The weigh-ins go into your weight log, next to the ones you type, and a weight you typed for a day is never replaced.

What it reads and only shows

The Health data screen shows the latest reading of each other kind you allow: distance, floors, workouts, your latest weight, body fat, height, heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen, breathing rate, blood pressure, blood glucose, body temperature, water, calories eaten and mindfulness, and on an iPhone exercise minutes and stand hours. These are read when you open that screen and shown on your phone. Apart from the weigh-ins above, they are not saved, not sent to your Fiti account, and not given to the voice assistant.

On Android all of this comes from Health Connect, and on an iPhone from Apple Health.

What it sends, if you turn sending on

Sending is off until you switch it on in Apps & devices, and the phone asks you to allow it. While it is on, Fiti saves to Health Connect or Apple Health:

It sends the last thirty days and what you log from then on. If you edit or delete something in Fiti, it changes or removes what it sent. It can only change or remove what it wrote itself. Other apps you have allowed to read your health data can then see it.

What it does with what it keeps

Saved health data reaches the Fiti server through Cloudflare’s delivery and security network. The full Privacy policy explains those service providers. These data are never used for advertising and never sold.

How to stop

In Fiti, open the menu, then Apps & devices. Switch off sending to stop Fiti saving to your phone's health data, or tap Disconnect to stop it reading and sending altogether on that phone. Totals and weigh-ins it already saved stay in your Fiti account, and what it already sent stays in Health Connect or Apple Health until you delete it there.

To take the permission itself back: on Android, open Settings, then Health Connect, then App permissions, and turn Fiti off. On an iPhone, open the Health app, then your profile, then Apps, and turn Fiti off.
